About WFSA & FAAAAR

The World Congress of Anaesthesiologists® (WCA) is the congress of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists® (WFSA). The 2012 WCA is organised by the Federación Argentina de Asociaciones , Anestesia, Analgesia y Reanimación (FAAAAR) on behalf of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists® (WFSA).

World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists® (WFSA)

The objectives of the WFSA are to make available the highest standards of anaesthesia, pain treatment, trauma management and resuscitation to all peoples of the world. These goals are achieved through the work of the WFSA standing committees - education, publications, safety and quality - all of whose reports are available on the website. Subspecialty committees on obstetric anaesthesia, pain, paediatric anaesthesia, trauma and resuscitation provide a focus on their particular areas of expertise.

Every four years, the WFSA holds the World Congress of Anaesthesiologists® (WCA) to bring together all those working in the field of anaesthesia and related areas to network, learn and share best practice.
